Government Affairs Committee
The mission of DPA’s Government Affairs Committee is to contribute to the development of state policies aimed at improving civil aviation in both the Dominican Republic and the United States of America. To achieve this mission, our committee publishes opinion pieces, promotes best practices in civil aviation, and collaborates with governmental institutions and civil society organizations in both countries.
Our association is part of a network of civil society organizations dedicated to advancing civil aviation in both the Dominican Republic and the United States of America. To achieve this progress, our organization analyzes various topics related to civil aviation, participates in forums and discussions, and works with governments to implement development policies aligned with the highest international standards.
The Government Affairs Committee is composed of some of the most qualified aviation professionals in our organization, with extensive experience in airline transportation and general aviation. Our team includes airline captains and first officers, as well as line instructors and inspectors designated by various civil aviation authorities.
Our main priorities are:
- Operational safety.
- The labor rights of pilots in both countries.
- The rights of the traveling public.
- The professional development of Dominican pilots in both countries.
- Inspiring and promoting the next generation of Dominican pilots.
